Are the stats accurate?

I'm going to answer that question right away, they probably aren't. I'm referring to the body weight and body fat percentage stats I post.

Current stats:
Weight: 146.6 lbs
Body fat: 12.2 %

Something isn't right. The small weight gain is fine, I'm not trying to lose weight here, in fact I expect an increase. It's the sudden jump in the body fat percentage that has thrown me off here.

There could be a couple of different reasons for this:
1. The stats are inaccurate. These stats are just coming from a standard household scale with metal pads to test your fat percentage, probably not super accurate on the fat. I place the scale in the same spot on the floor for every update, as well as weigh myself 3 times in order to make sure the reading is the same.
2. The stats are accurate, roughly anyway. I've been drinking more orange juice and soy milk lately, both of which are high in sugar. We've also been eating frozen french fries quite a bit lately. Potatoes are on the 'prefer to avoid' list.

I guess we'll see how it goes the next stats update.
